Job Summary

CRH Americas, Inc., is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to help ensure the external competitiveness and internal equity of the company's compensation programs through market pricing, job evaluation, and database management/analysis. The role will also lead and support a range of annual processes and projects such as the annual compensation cycle, executive compensation processes, and total reward statements. This role will report to the Director, Compensation & Reward for CRH Americas and will be located at either our Atlanta, GA or Overland Park, KS office in a hybrid work-environment.

Job Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Market Pricing/Market Trends
    • Market price exempt and nonexempt jobs using multiple survey sources as part of projects and on an ad hoc basis.
    • Participate in compensation surveys, conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
    • Develop and communicate pay structures (bands/grades), compensation budgets, and administrative guidelines.
  • Job Evaluation
    • Evaluate jobs within the context of the existing band/level structure as part of projects (restructuring, acquisitions, etc.) or ad hoc requests.
    • Work with HR and business leaders to understand the scope and complexity of jobs and help ensure accurate job descriptions for new or changing jobs.
    • Develop supporting material on job families, career ladders, etc. to support ongoing compensation and talent processes.
  • Database Management/Analysis
    • Support the development and maintenance of databases to enable multiple compensation processes (annual compensation cycle, executive compensation processes, internal equity analysis, audits, etc.).
    • Work with HR to support the annual compensation review cycle, specifically around data quality, data checking, data collection, and data input to our systems.
    • Compile data from multiple systems to research and respond to data requests (leadership requests, ongoing analysis of employee populations, compliance, etc.).
    • Develop templates and standards for data reporting.
  • Project Management
    • Leads and manages a variety of annual projects such as total reward statements (with external vendor) and routine data collection for an online organization chart tool.
  • Business Partnering
    • Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to management, HR, and employees on current compensation processes, procedures, and policies.
    • Provide support and guidance to HR and hiring managers around offer letters and promotions to support company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Presentations/Communication
    • Support the development and delivery of communications to support the compensation function throughout the year, including webinars, email communications, and feedback surveys.
    • Support the overall planning and execution of the annual global compensation review cycle including preparing material, such as presentation decks (PowerPoint), calendars, and other visuals showing key dates and actions to be taken.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in compensation function
  • Prior experience with job evaluation methodologies preferred (Hay/Korn Ferry, Mercer, WTW).
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, compensation and benefits, and annual compensation processes.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office 365 Suite, with particularly strong Excel and Access Database or Quickbase skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and across multiple functions to resolve complex, time-sensitive issues.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, capable of multitasking, working independently and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Experience manipulating large sets of data to analyze and draw conclusions.

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required - less than 10% travel
