Sales Coordinator (Sales)

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Opportunity to understand book publishing process, supply chain, and inner-workings of trade sales team
  • Get to know key customers and reps throughout the Americas and play an active role supporting team strategy and workflows

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports local and remote team selling print and digital books to third party customers in the Americas
  • Frontline on sales communication going to shared inbox; embraces a customer-centric approach to ensuring special sales, customer needs, new account setup, and adoption queries are answered in a timely and helpful manner and misplaced queries reach the right stakeholder within Springer Nature
  • Prepares and/or coordinates sales materials for regular outreach and sales calls including presentations, newsletters, and catalogs
  • Responsible for regular sales reports used to evaluate results and inform team strategy including monthly or quarterly commission statements for external reps
  • Admin tasks include but are not limited to the scheduling and coordination of internal and external meetings and events, basic quotations, and bibliographic data verification
  • Special projects as needed

CONTACTS:

  • Frequent internal communication with trade sales, marketing, publicity, credit, logistics, fulfillment, and customer service colleagues
  • Regular external communication with key accounts and commission sales representatives
  • Constant email interactions in response to  internal and external queries

REQUIRED BACKGROUND :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must be highly organized, collaborative, and self-motivated
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
