Director of Manufacturing (Finance)
BS in Engineering, Business or another related field.
MBA is highly desirable.
10+ years' experience in production management/plant leadership role preferably in a process-oriented. operations and/or related industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to perform general office lifting and physical requirements.
Must be able to work in Hot & Cold environments for extended periods of time.
Able to use MS Office applications.
Effective verbal and written communicator.
Working knowledge and exposure to GFSI.
Proven experience as Plant Manager or Manufacturing Director with multiple site responsibilities or equivalent position.
Exceptional negotiation ad strategic influencing skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs activities so that approved products are on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Directs manufacturing at production facilities to ensure production in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Ensures fixed assets are preserved. Initiates purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.
Coordinate with Human Resources to staff all positions and to establish and maintain a competitive compensation and benefits program for a successful recruiting and retention program.
Develops, recommends and adheres to approved budgets.
Ensure that the facilities maintain a sanitary environment conducive to Food Safety.
Ensure product Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance to all Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies.
Monitor all Food Safety, Quality and Sanitation programs and policies are used and follow in the daily plant operation.
Perform projects as assigned and required.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Identify and target improvement opportunities utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
Be motivated by curiosity driving the manufacturing performance to continually higher marks.
Develop a strong sense of ownership and accountability to their team, to their peers, and the company.
Excel at communication throughout the organization from the owner, to the senior leadership team, to their team and to the broader cross functional teams - especially those that work on the shop floor in the hourly roles.
Define, implement and revise operational policies and guidelines for the organization.
Liaise with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high and will include, but not be limited to, production machinery, computers, printers, telephones, and normal communication. Hearing protection will be required for all in plant activities.
