The MTE Program Manager is the main point of contact for all critical business functions related to the field of medical transcription and editing, electronic medical records, and medical scribe related programs. As a Program Manager you strive to increase program success rates by collaborating with various departments within the company to ensure the highest quality content for our innovative programs.
The program manager has the strength of vision and proven capability to direct a dynamic programs implementation, development, and strategy. The program manager continually develops the quality of our catalog offerings so the company is positioned as the go-to source for highly skilled learners in growing professions. The program manager is a strong collaborator, adaptable to changing industry trends, and leads with integrity to ensure the success of valuable healthcare documentation programs.
A Day in the Life
People Leadership 30%
Oversee the hiring of course instructors, facilitators, and subject matter experts.
Manage and direct the day to day activities including schedules, work assignments and coaching to ensure quality learner experience.
Curriculum Management 40%
Ownership of program curriculum including updates, corrections and ongoing improvements.
Development of articles and resources for the CareerStep community.
Evaluate the effectiveness of current curriculum offerings and implement changes/updates based on industry standards, learner feedback, and quality experience guidelines.
Research, testing, and evaluation of curriculum and tools from 3rd party vendors and providers
Proactively ensure that the program aligns with industry requirements, meets certification guidelines, and overall industry direction.
Provide Academic Partners and other groups with required data reporting to ensure program compliance.
Oversee the alignment between the program/content and certification requirements
Maintain a strategic relationship between the accrediting/credentialing institution and CareerStep.
Strategy 15%
Advise on the strategy and expansion of the course library through the identification of gaps in curriculum and advancement or trends in the industry.
Participate with the VP of Learning Experience and our Compliance officer in the advisory board for the program as necessary and assist in managing board activities.
Establish relationships with hiring partners and job placement services and systems for continued industry awareness and needs.
Externship 15%
Support externship relationships with institutions and hiring partners.
Collaborate with the placement team for externship requirements.
Verify that learners will have the opportunity to practice a sufficiently wide range of activities to validate their experiential component of the program.
Manage progress monitoring of learners and documentation of completion requirements for externships through courses and programs.
Qualify learners for externship eligibility.

Learner Success: You love to build meaningful and trusting relationships with our certification bodies, industry and academic partners, content vendors and SMEs.
Drive: You have a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and be a positive force in the workplace.
What You Need:
Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of industry expertise.
3+ years of experience managing people or complex projects.
Active industry credentials and willingness to remain certified, prior experience in the field of your industry: AHDI RMT, CMT preferred, or industry equivalent.
2+ years of hands-on experience with online learning or the development of online curriculum. Canvas LMS experience recommended.
Strong computer skills: Fully functional with online communication tools (instant messaging, live chat, forums, emails) and the ability to conduct internet research and enter data in related software tools.
