Outbound Shipping Manager (Project Management)

This position will be responsible for outbound operations. This includes shipping,safety, quality, cost and delivery. The position oversees the daily activities of area team leaders and team members, ensures area metrics and processes are developed and maintained to meet quality, safety and compliance requirements.
The outbound supervisor will assist with the area's operating budget plan capital and staffing requirements appropriate for the business levels and will interact with customers, carriers and other service providers to ensure the highest level of customer responsiveness is achieved. This supervisor is also responsible for creating and implementing improvement ideas following lean manufacturing principles; mentoring, coaching and training team members to ensure the continuing development of area talent.
