NOW.. about the job
A day in the life:
60% Daily tasks related to invoicing and cash
Responsible for daily processing of Sales Orders that flow into the system through Big Commerce/Sales Force related to ACLS. This includes reviewing orders to ensure data is flowing through correctly.
Responsible for processing the B2B invoices related to CareerCert.
Responsible for processing the daily bank reconciliation.
Responsible for collections related to CareerCert.
Responsible for bi-weekly cash report.
25% Month-End close
Ensure all CareerCert transactions from the month have been invoiced. This includes working with the Accountant FP&A to follow-up on missing orders.
Ensure all cash receipts have been appropriately applied to customers related to CareerCert.
Manage month-end bank reconciliation process, including identifying and correcting any errors or missing items.
Manage inventory process
Manage monthly Cap Dev process and work with development heads to ensure GAAP guidelines are followed relating to Cap Dev costs.
Responsible for preparing the write off report and booking the approved amounts.
15% Ad Hoc Duties
Support various departments and their requests for information related to CareerCert payments and customer accounts.
Providing ad hoc reports as requested.
Provide back-up to others in the department. This includes taking care of others primary tasks when they are OOO or to help with overflow of work.
What you'll need:
Education: BS or equivalent in accounting or finance. An AA with appropriate experience could replace having a BS degree.
Competencies
Proactive learner: desire to learn new things and put the learning into practice
Detail oriented: you can catch one error in sea of a 1000 transactions
Optimizes work processes: desire to seek how a process works and how to improve the process
Ensures accountability: You close the loop, button things up, seal it tight. You know what we mean.
Skills
Excel: you dont have to be a wizard, but you have the aptitude to learn things like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Excellent communication skills with both internal and external contacts.
Experience with NetSuite and Sales Force a plus
