HR Consultant (Finance)



This position provides comprehensive human resource guidance, training, and problem resolution to employees on the St. Petersburg campus. Serving as a consultant, the primary responsibility involves managing employment data operations with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. In addition to data operations, the role supports various aspects of Human Resources, including payroll and HRIS administration, compensation and classification, and participation in key HR projects. The position acts as a campus resource for HR initiatives, policies & procedures, and legal compliance, ensuring that all practices align with organizational standards and regulations. Attention to detail, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to deliver exceptional service are essential qualities for success in this role.MINIMUM:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program. Six years of HR-related experience or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree

FLSB1310 Equivalency:

4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

PREFERRED:

Previous experience as a Human Resources professional and Oracle experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to build collaborative relationships and deliver excellent customer service.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

- Review, process, and approve Oracle transactions related to HR operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the St. Petersburg HR Department and other internal stakeholders to resolve transaction-related issues.
- Maintain documentation and records of processed transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide guidance and support to department staff on Oracle system usage and HR transaction protocols.
