Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of production activities and operating workers, such as plant support, die cutter operators, press operators, coating machine operators, coating machine assistants, and table top operators.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
Understand and support the company's Core Values
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of labels and cash receipt paper
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
Partner with Training Manager to advise on employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers
Develop and promote team members to fill leadership positions on the shift
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and be prepared to report out on production results
Confer with human resources and management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
Recommend or implement measures to improve safety, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, and promotions
Enforce safety and housekeeping regulations
Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers

Preferred Experience:
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) in Manufacturing or Printing
Five (5) plus years of experience in manufacturing as a Press Operator
Five (5) plus years of experience in Supervision or Management
Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma processes
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
Experience in indirect supervision or management of people
Must be proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and CRM systems

Production- Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines/equipment.
Office- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from high-speed computer printers and other peripherals. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for four to eight hours daily. Occasional travel to the manufacturing floor may be required.
Customer Site- Work is performed in various environments depending on customers' industry. Environments can range from production to office areas.
