Position: Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary

Voyant Beauty – Elkhart is seeking to add a results-driven Operational Excellence/CI Engineer Manager to drive Lean Sigma mentality throughout our Elkhart, IN facility via project achievements, training, and communicating success. In this role, you will utilize a hands-on approach to create value and buy-in as the lead change facilitator for the operation's Continuous Improvement efforts. Improvement projects include, but are not limited to changeover reduction, batch cycle time improvement, waste reduction, and constraint improvement.

Key Duties

• Using appropriate tools and methods including Change Management, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to project teams on the use and practice of Lean Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, scorecards, and status reports on improvement projects that detail activities, progress, and cost reductions / savings.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate business data with leadership and front-line teams.
• Reviews, measures, and proactively study KPIs to ensure quality products that meet customer specifications.
• Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of project deliverables.
• Responsible for planning and assisting in the execution of various Continuous Improvement projects targeted towards improving the business's performance on safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost.
• Responsible for successful development and execution of specific OPEX/Lean Manufacturing projects.
• Responsible for project management and administration to include project direction, implementation, cost/benefit analysis, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
• In depth knowledge of formalized lean manufacturing practices and tools
• Experience with downtime Pareto's, Yield/Loss Tracking, GMP, and cost reduction
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong Project Management and execution skills
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams
