Summary:
Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees engaged in material movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, put away and inventory control. Responsible for employees to maintain proper safety conditions and compliance with policies and defined procedures.
Functional Description:
Coordinates the efficient movement of materials. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manages contractual relationships with Freight Carriers, 3 PLs and other suppliers. Interfaces with the greater supply chain and commercial functions to assure service levels and cost goals are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
\u00B7 Monitor and supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring compliance to SOP's and safety procedures at all times.
\u00B7 Assist with financial and quality audits.
\u00B7 Examines inventory levels and product demand to ensure adequate levels of material availability.
\u00B7 Maintains accuracy and quality of inventory.
\u00B7 Coordinate and direct the activities of the department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, housekeeping and employee morale.
\u00B7 Retrieve and put away material utilizing hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
\u00B7 Participate in writing and revising work instructions in collaboration with warehouse management.
\u00B7 Continuously drive improvements in both productivity and quality within warehouse operations.
\u00B7 Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
\u00B7 Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities efficiently.
\u00B7 Excellent organizational skills, very detail-oriented and a high degree of initiative.
\u00B7 Good interpersonal skills, able to interact well with direct and cross-functional team members.
\u00B7 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
\u00B7 Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint).
\u00B7 Good presentation skills.
\u00B7 Experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
\u00B7 Ability to conduct analysis and resolve problems independently.
\u00B7 Experience supervising 10+ employees.
\u00B7 Experience using forklifts or must be able to obtain forklift certification.
