Full Time Opening Lifeguard - Beverly YMCA (Creative Design)

 The Sterling Center YMCA located in Beverly provides full-service swim programs for ages 6 months & up with a variety of programming options including swim lessons, swim team, adaptive inclusion programs, aqua exercise, leadership development, and lifeguard training.   On a regular day, you will provide direct service through attentive lifeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all swimmers at indoor and outdoor pools during our opening hours. 

To thrive in this role, you have proven leadership experience and exemplary customer service skills to ensure the satisfactory experience of participants and the regular return of members. You have experience assessing the skill level swimmers and are able to provide direction in maintaining the safety of the pool.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, pursuit or attainment of a Bachelors degree in Aquatics, Recreation or related field preferred
  • YUSA swim instructor/lifeguard certified preferred, but not required, training may be provided
  • Schedule is Monday - Friday 4:45am to 1:15pm
