Seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for construction projects in San Francisco Bay Area, California.
The Company provides construction management services to numerous clients in a multitude of business sectors. Its Business Office has delivered successful construction projects in healthcare, higher education, laboratories, business offices, retail development, food processing and warehouse development. Construction activities are unlimited and require the Safety and Health Manager to have a broad range of technical and managerial expertise.
Minimum candidate Accreditations
BS/BA Safety Related Degree
Recognized Safety Professional Certification (Examples)
BCSP (CSP, CHST, ASP)
5 years construction site safety management experience
Completion of OSHA 500 and 1 st Aid/CPR training
Desired candidates will be able to demonstrate:

Responsible team membership: commitment to the Project team, participation with company expectations, dedication to improving the safety and health culture throughout the business unit.

Subordinate development and commitment to their advancement and development.
Authorized Construction Trainer for OSHA-30 Hour
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following experience and/or capabilities:
Perform regular job site inspections to identify, document and recommend mitigation of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and verify correction actions s have been completed.
Perform incidents investigations to include interviews, data compilation, photographs and completing proper documentation.
Evaluate various planning/permits such as: Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, Pre-cast Tilt-Up as examples.
Industrial Hygiene principles and techniques involved in Hearing conservation, Lasers, Silica, Asbestos, Lead work, as examples.
Fire Protection, flammable/combustible materials storage/management.
Experience working on large projects in excess $10M range or higher.
An in-depth knowledge of CalOSHA Safety Orders

Working Conditions
Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor constructions jobsite settings requiring sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
Noise level varies based on location.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
