We are hiring! Atkins seeks an Office Engineer to join our team in Federal Way, Washington. This role will be working initially on the Federal Way Link Extension, a major design-build project with a diverse team of professionals.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Assist the RE to manage the receipt, distribution, review and compilation of comments, and the tracking and return of submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Maintain a tracking list of all submittals, including a weekly update of submittals yet to be submitted or resubmitted. Maintain a tracking list and report on RFIs. Generate other reports (i.e. for RFIs, Submittals, etc.) as may be requested by the RE.
• Maintain and distribute current construction drawings and specifications, and job-site record drawings. Confirm monthly that the DB Contractor is maintaining up-to-date record as-built drawings. Maintain an updated set of contract documents including all RFIs, work directives, change orders and field clarifications.
• Maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and publish weekly.
• Assist the RE with construction contract closeout and receive all close-out documentation including final as-builts, product warranties and all other items required by the contract.
• Assist members of the team as requested.

What will you contribute?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering preferred, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience will also be considered
• At least two years practical work experience preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS

• Field inspection experience a plus
• Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients, contractors, and team members
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with SharePoint and Bluebeam a plus
• Ability to work independently and accurately under pressure
• Willingness to learn

Pay Range: $60K - $100K
