Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Technical Project Manager 3 #2995 (3552) in Los Alamos, NM.

*This position will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Navarro employee in a staff augmentation position. This position will support Planning and Reporting at LANL. This a remote position with travel to the site. The work schedule is 4 10 hour days.

  • The technical project manager (TPM) manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects; establishes technical requirements for the project; defines project deliverables, budgets, and schedules; and oversees the project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.
  • Projects are a set of related activities associated with Line-Item Projects Project Controls program and candidate must have the ability to produce specific products or provide services to meet customer's requirements.
  • TPMs develop or maintain processes to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the hiring manager.
  • Responsible for cost analysis/control and planning and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements or for discipline/projects/programs/proposal cost and planning activities which require a high degree of technical skilled experience.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance to projects and programs.
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled. Identification of cost trends for management attention.
  • The customer may be an external body, such as a federal agency, or may be an internal organization within the Laboratory.

Requirements

  • Bachelors with 10 or more years of experience, or Masters with 8 or more years of experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience supporting DOE 413.3B work scope.
  • DOE Risk management or reporting experience.
  • Experience supporting difficult customers/building relationships.
  • Plans and develops projects or phases of projects concerned with unique problems.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates and assists in the management of projects.
  • May develop plans and conduct research on complex problems.
  • May also plan, administer and recommend policies to senior management.
  • Department of Energy Q clearance.

*Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required. *Must have the ability to secure a DOE Level Q Security Clearance.
