WATER PRACTICE
Michael Baker International's Water Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate II to join our Water Resources team in the San Diego, CA office.
The Civil Associate will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Manager to prepare hydraulic calculations and hydraulic models, and assist with preparing technical reports, technical exhibits, design drawings, technical specifications and cost estimates. Other responsibilities include data collection and organization, spreadsheet calculations, shop drawing review, site visits and documentation of site conditions for typical water resources projects. Typical water resources projects include water and sewer master plans, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, wells, and water and wastewater treatment facility designs. This position will entail approximately 90% office work and 10% field work.
