ME Lab Assistant (Education)



Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced staff member to work for our Micro Device Lab (MDL). The ideal candidate will contribute to the management, operation, maintenance, and training for the facility, equipment and students related to micro/nano fabrication for MEMS/NEMS. If you are passionate about MEMS/NEMS technology and have a proven track record in a similar role, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Managerial: Lead and manage the MEMS Fabrication Facility. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and meets production targets. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement departmental strategies and budgets. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Technical: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MEMS fabrication equipment, such as photolithography, etching, and deposition tools. Perform process development, optimization, and characterization to improve yield and device performance. Document fabrication processes, create standard operating procedures, and maintain detailed records. Participate in process improvement and problem-solving activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline). Prior experience in MEMS fabrication or semiconductor cleanroom environments is a plus. Proficiency in operating MEMS fabrication equipment and processes. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
