~ Leads and supports the Market Research function for all HMA including conducting qualitative and quantitative custom market/consumer research and managing syndicated research.
~ Provide survey development support; provide guidance and review all final reports.
~ Manage research projects including advanced product and marketing launch vehicle clinics, post-launch analysis of new models (e.g., Early Buyer studies), and various custom consumer research projects.
~ Select and manage research vendors to executive research projects, vendor management which includes providing direction on research sample plan, ensuring projects are hitting milestones on-time, working with vendor so projects are within scope and within budget.
~ Collaborate with stakeholders (including executives) to design research to produce meaningful and high impact business implications.
~ Analyze complex data sources and information to find patterns in data to “tell a story” about the research results that has business implications to the respective client groups.
~ Create and present research results to a large stakeholder audience including senior-level executives. Typical presentations will include 30+ attendees.
~ Manage research projects with a very broad scope including advanced product development, next generation product planning, telematics, marketing and communications, and sales/service.
~ Independently assess research needs and determine the best methodology and sample plan to address business requirements.
~ Analyze primary and secondary research findings to advocate the voice of the customer and provide meaningful recommendations.
~ Independently conduct qualitative research or quantitative research (including advanced statistical methods such as conjoint or segmentations) as needed to address research needs.
~ Manage the Hyundai owner online market research community to provide quick ad hoc owner insights as assigned by management. Manage community supplier who handles day-to-day community management. Connect with internal stakeholders to determine research needs to be tested with our owners.
~ Manage syndicated research related to emerging technology, product features, and powertrains.
~ Provide consulting and ad hoc analysis of market and consumer research to support internal clients.
~ Leverage data mining tools such as SPSS, mTAB, and our online survey platform to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
~ Periodically develop and program on-line surveys (using existing vendor's online platform).
~ Includes analysis and reporting of results to various stakeholders including senior level executives.
~ This position has the authority for independent data gathering, analysis, report preparation, and final presentation.
~ Selecting and managing research vendors for projects he/she is responsible for managing.
~ Developing, overseeing, and meeting the project timeline for various research projects.
~ Providing product or business recommendations based on findings.
~ Bachelor's degree preferred.
~ Master's degree a plus.
~ At least six years of market research experience managing various custom qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
~ At least two years of experience at an automotive manufacturer (OEM).
~ Strong knowledge of research methods and statistics.
~ Strong ability to translate research findings into meaningful business decisions.
~ Exhibit strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and align expectations.
~ Ability to work with all levels of management.
~ Strong oral and written communications skills.
~ Strong project management capabilities.
~ Ability to manage multiple projects at a given time.
~ Strong analytical skills.
~ Strong vendor management.
~ Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency.
