The Accountant l - Operations is responsible for financial statement preparation, review and analysis for a portfolio of communities. The Accountant l - Operations t acts as a liaison between the properties, corporate staff, external owners and other third parties in regard to all financial and accounting issues.

Enters cash receipts and deposits daily to the general ledger accounts.Prepare miscellaneous reports for internal and external useProcess payables on a weekly basisApprove Purchase Orders and ensure accuracy of invoices entered by property staffAnswer vendor inquiriesAnswer inquiries from property staff or company departmentsProcess wire transfers, account transfers, deposits, and other banking transactions as neededAssists in the annual IRS 1099 process by researching and making the determination as to which vendors require a 1099Prepare financial statementsAssist with the budget process including the preparation of preliminary budgets and entering final budgets into OneSiteAssist with investment transactions with respect to accounting, general taxation, REIT compliance, and reportingPrepare consolidated financial statementsAssist with annual audits, including preparing annual reportsResearches and corrects reconciling items from various bank accounts and coordinates with banking personnel in correcting errors.Reconciles and performs extensive research for various bank transactions. Creates, enters and posts adjusting journal entries to clear outstanding reconciling items on these banksCompletion of special projects as assigned Work Environment
