Flight Engineer (Transportation)
The Flight Engineer makes pre-flight acceptance of the aircraft, performs fueling of the aircraft, and is responsible for the information, procedures, and requirements relating to the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Lynden Air Cargo is a US part 121 all-cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. The company conducts operations in Alaska and worldwide operations around the world. QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent is required; college degree preferred; two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, governmental regulations, maintenance manuals, and safety regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to use common sense and sound judgment to deal with situations and multiple problems that occur simultaneously in a highly controlled and regulated environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Airframe and PowerPlant License (Required for L382)
Flight Engineer Certificate Turbopropeller Rating or Current Flight Engineer Turbopropeller
Written Exams
Class II Medical Certificate
Current Driver License
Current US Passport
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, nights or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods of time. Must be available to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions, including entrance onto foreign military bases.
PHYSICAL:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
