Marketing Coordinator (Marketing)
Responsible for planning and overseeing all marketing and public relations efforts for the Cultural Services Department, including the Museum/Gallery, Rialto Theater Center and Art in Public Places Program. Responsibilities include promoting departmental exhibits, programs, events, facilities and other endeavors through all forms of printed materials, advertising, social media, digital media and public relations. Assists with planning and coordinating several events for the Cultural Services Department.
The salary range for this position is $51,600- $80,000 per year with a hiring range of $51,600 - $65,800, depending on qualifications and experience.

Education and/or experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Arts Administration, Business Administration or related field required. Master's degree desired. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Three (3) years' work experience in a position equivalent or higher required including experience with cultural programming, marketing, public relations, fundraising, event coordination & implementation; must be in addition to any experience used to satisfy the education requirement. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience in grant writing, contract negotiations, and advanced social media/digital marketing techniques preferred.

Operates a variety of standard office machinery such as multi-line telephones, voicemail access, cash register, credit card machine, copier, fax, TDD phone, security monitoring system, overhead projector, basic sound equipment
Working conditions and physical requirements:
This position has two distinct working environments. The first is a typical office environment that requires sitting most of the day. However, during event or program implementation may require moving, bending, lifting, walking, being on feet for many hours, multitasking and using quick judgment. Ability to move and/or position up to 50 pounds. Will work an occasional weekend or night shift at the front desk.
