Regional Project Manager (Finance)
The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Construction & Development to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, standard, time frame and budget required. This position will not report directly to, but will additionally work closely with Regional Vice Presidents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Regional Vice President, engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the projectNegotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreementsObtain permits and licenses from appropriate authoritiesPlan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be metCoordinate & supervise onsite management for multiple projects in the regionSupervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reportsEnsure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issuesInterface with Regional Vice President, Vice President of Construction & Development, onsite management, and other contractors, etc.Assist on-site management with planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functionsRequest approval from the Regional Vice President for project transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, equipment, etc., as requiredEnsure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations; notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as requiredEnsure consistent execution of priorities and objectives across the regionBuild relationships with contracting vendorsSolve complex problems in collaboration with others involved in on the project at handFollow Safe Harbors member services policy to provide the utmost level of professionalism and hospitality to all individuals
Technical and Physical Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.Minimum of ten (10) years experience in operations experience in civil or marine project management and/or experience in construction managementPossession of Certified Construction Manager (CCM) accreditation is preferred.Exceptional business acumen, analytical skills and decision-making abilityStrong organization skills in order to manage multiple projects with moving partsAbility to work independently and multi-task, prioritizing as appropriateAbility to travelAbility to work a flexible, full time schedule including days, evenings, weekendsRequires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
