Senior / Executive Vice President - Bank Supervision, Regulation & Credit (Finance)
Position Summary
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (Bank) is seeking a strong leader to head the Bank's Supervision, Regulation and Credit Division. The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive with proven success in leading the supervision, regulation and credit business lines, as well as the strategies of a complex organization and/or multiple functions within an organization. The candidate must possess the strengths, attributes, skills and vision necessary to enhance the Bank's role as a thought leader and policy-maker in the Federal Reserve System (System). In addition, the successful candidate must have a strong commitment to public service.
The Senior Vice President/Executive Vice President and Director of Supervision, Regulation and Credit (herein after referred to as "the SVP/EVP") reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, and has several executives reporting to him/her. This position is a member of the Bank's Executive Committee and contributes at the highest level on Bank and System initiatives.

Job Summary
The SVP/EVP is responsible for the Bank's Supervision, Regulation and Credit Division and also for actively participating in the formulation of the Bank's overall strategy and policy. As a member of the Bank's Executive Committee, the incumbent must demonstrate exceptional regulatory and compliance policy knowledge and skills, deep expertise in serving as the senior supervisory and regulatory advisor to leadership, and strong management skills to lead the Bank's Supervision function (and other such functional areas as may be assigned). This position also serves on the System's Supervision Committee that oversees the execution of the System's supervisory responsibilities and the System's Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee, which provides strategic oversight of the System's supervision of the most complex financial firms. This position contributes to the Bank and/or System projects, initiatives and other matters, and represents the Bank in interactions dealing with the Board of Governors, within the System, with outside agencies as needed, and throughout the First District more broadly.

Supervision
This position is responsible for the supervision, direction, training, and development of professional positions at the officer and staff levels.
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a MBA in Finance and a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in bank supervision and regulation. This position also requires at least five years of management experience at the Vice President level for one or more of the major functions in bank supervision and regulation and, at least 10 years of management experience at the officer level and a comprehensive knowledge of Bank and System responsibilities/activities.
