Human Resources Generalist (Everett, WA) (Finance)
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of HR-related duties on a professional level under the guidance of the General Manager. This position serves as a link between management and employees. This position also carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, and performance management, on boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure that HR policies and processes are consistently administered both in the department and companywide.
Provide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees, and work with other members of the Management Team to make recommendations for improvements.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Complete annual filing for the EEO-1 report; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Conducts recruitment effort for all open positions; recruit and interview potential applicants on experience, skills, and education; updates/maintains job descriptions and job postings, represent employer in community and recruiting events
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Conduct investigations in employee and customer situations, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and violation of company policies.
Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Record and manage employee information such as, but not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations and termination information.
Oversee work place safety and risk management as well WISHA and OSHA compliance records.
Process unemployment and workers compensation claims as well as COBRA administration and understanding of FMLA laws.
Event planning and company reward programs
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline and/or 5+ years' experience in HR
Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.
Planning/Organizing: Must be very organized and able to prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, able to maintain focus despite numerous interruptions
Behavior/Work Management Skills: Employee must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. Must be able to promote a participative, team oriented environment, working with customers, all employees, vendors and others in a professional and respectful manner. Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively present information in English and respond to questions from groups of employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Judgment: Display willingness to make decisions; Exhibit sound ethical and accurate judgment.
Adaptability: Adapt to change; React well under pressure; Manage competing priorities.

Knowledge of Kronos (UKG) a plus but not required
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Aerospace machine shop experience a plus
Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment. There may be occasional requirements to go into the manufacturing area of the facility which may require use of safety glasses and hearing protection. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, odors, fumes, etc. may also be encountered when in the manufacturing areas to varying degrees. This is a non-management position This is a full time position
