Essential Functions:
· Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
· Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
· Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
· Circulate among employees to preserve order and protect property.
· Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
· Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
· Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during nonbusiness hours or when switchboard is closed.
· Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and evict violators from premises.
· Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
· Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.
Additional Functions:
· Other tasks assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
· Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
· In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.
· Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
· Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.
Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
Typical Physical Activity:
· Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, working in cramped areas, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 90 lbs., carrying up to 50 lbs., and stooping.
Typical Environmental Conditions:
· Inside and outside areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, in general offices, outside grounds, variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust.
Travel Requirements:
· To and from work when public transportation may not be available
Physical Requirements:

· Physical requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
