"One of the rising stars of the Chicago law scene, this firm has made a name for itself as having extensive experience in complex commercial transactions. The firm represents small, start-up, and entrepreneurial firms and Fortune 500 companies in a broad range of practice areas, including banking estate planning, bankruptcy and creditors rights, work-outs and reorganizations, insurance, government regulations and litigation matters. The firm is not yet well known outside of the Midwest. The firms lawyers come from both regional and national law schools. Compensation is average, and so is the billable hours requirement. Partners operate their businesses independently, but get along well with their colleagues. This is a great environment for someone looking to join a smaller firm while at the same time seeking interesting work. "
