Software Product Manager – High Performance Computing, BIOS, Embedded Systems, US Citizen (Project Management)
HPE's High Performance Computing division is seeking a Software Product Manager to help plan and drive embedded software product deliverables required to support new hardware product releases. The product manager will also be responsible for resource planning and facilitating development and QA meetings. You will manage critical partnerships between hardware vendors, internal development teams and external clients as needed. Working for one of the fastest growing units of HPE, you'll be on the cutting edge of product design and development long before the end results hit the market. This is a great role for an experienced software engineer to move product leadership.
This role is based in Houston, TX. Work can be done mostly from home, candidates need only be willing/able to work in the HPE office on occasion.
Job Description
Drive end to end strategy and operational product roadmap for BIOS and embedded microcontrollers for HPC clusters on major systems (Apollo, Olympus, Edgeline)
Advise key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle
Facilitate development time lines with leading chip manufacturers, hardware and software development teams to synchronize time lines for product release
Partner with QA teams to examine bug reports and develop correction schedule
Synthesize market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen
Ensure accountability while maintaining a constructive relationship with all stakeholders
Experience and Skills
Software development experience; strong knowledge of development life cycle required, experience with embedded systems and/or BIOS a plus.
Exceptional organization, collaboration and negotiation skills are essential
Background with Agile is helpful.
Due to the nature of the work being done, US Citizenship is required.
