If you are an International Trade Compliance & Logistics Coordinator looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Mansfield, Ohio location, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all US Import/Export, and Supply Chain Security laws, regulations, initiatives and Corporate guidelines for Therm-O-Disc, Inc. This includes database management as well as auditing of conformance to Policies and Procedures.
AS AN INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMPLIANCE & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR, YOU WILL:
Reviews and controls all documentation for imports and exports into the U.S. including entry summaries, packing lists, customs invoices, export filings and any other documents required or produced in the course of US importing and exporting of product, equipment, or technology.
Assists all locations that import and export in developing policy and procedures program for their locations.
Assists in the management of the Emerson Logistics Programs. Works with sites to insure compliance with Emerson approved carriers.
Reviews TOD Freight Mode Report for compliance with carriers, mode, and spend. Assist with the TOD FBR system.
Assists with Denied Party Screening.
Assists with annual NAFTA Analysis.
Classification of all parts that Therm-O-Disc, Inc. will import and export, or Therm-O-Disc, Inc. And assist with classification form.
Audits all locations for compliance to the policies and procedures of the location regarding trade compliance. Maintains records of all audits performed. Reviews import policies and procedures for all locations to continually improve the process.
Ensures that customs records are maintained in a format that can be retrieved if necessary in a reasonable amount of time. (Customs generally accepts up to two (2) weeks).
Ensures that proper training is made available to anyone involved in the import or export of product, equipment, or technology. Follows up with department heads to ensure they are making their people available for training. Ensures that records of training are maintained.
Ensures all locations adhere to the guidelines of C-TPAT or other supply chain security programs for all locations by auditing the local procedures. Ensures that there is continuous improvement in addressing any gaps.
Works with all locations to have them C-TPAT, or equivalent, certified.
Ensures that all assists are properly declared.
Visits suppliers to ensure compliance to C-TPAT, or equivalent, and improve their understanding of Certificate of Origin requirement.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, or related field.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in importing/exporting, customs, and Supply Chain Management
Judgment and decision making ability.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Organizing and planning capabilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity suites currently in use by the company.
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
An Associate's degree in business with a minimum of three (3) years experience in importing/exporting, customs, and Supply Chain Management or a minimum of six (6) years experience in Importing/exporting, Customs, and Supply Chain Management, with extensive training in Import/export and Customs
Willing to train / gain Hazmat Certification DOT / IATA.
