Stride, Inc. is looking for a talented and dynamic student who craves putting their esports experience to work.  Stride is looking for an intern that wants the unique opportunity to reimage and grow our esports program across over 70 partner schools.  We are looking for someone to help us build on the foundation that we have started and to strengthen and grow the program.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Assist in the development and growth of esports teams within our partner schools;
  • Assist with planning for the growth of a national program;
  • Lead the development of regional and national Stride sponsored tournaments;
  • Assist in the local, regional, and national competitions;
  • Assist in developing a plan to host a national tournament;
  • Assist with social media marketing for local and national competitions;
  • Assist in the development of social media and recruitment efforts;
  • Develop product and strategy recommendations using market research, consumer insights and in-game analytics.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:   

  • College Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Esports Management AND
  • Esports experience in community management, player relations, tournament organization, or as a current or former competitor with a passion for esports growth OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Curious and creative, and enjoy exploring data and finding the next big opportunity
  • Comfortable organizing and analyzing sets of data
  • View challenges as opportunities and enjoy solving problems and removing obstacles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enjoy collaboration and like working in teams on complex challenges
  • Passion for video games or esports
  • Have knowledge of popular gaming
  • Be an avid gamer with some experience with games such as Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., League of Legends, and Nintendo Switch games
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • This is a home-based position.  We are seeking applicants from Washington, D.C, and from any state except Colorado.  We anticipate a typical school office setting including conversation, light foot traffic, computers, etc.
