The Role
We are searching for a one-of-a-kind Director of Brand Marketing to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in positioning Eargo to become one of the most beloved and empowering consumer health-tech brands for both current and potential customers. You will serve as the “brander-in-chief” to lead and manage the brand strategy, brand campaigns, brand monitoring, brand storytelling, brand values and anything else with the word brand in front of it. This role requires a “half-crazy” marketer who can see the big picture but can also roll up their sleeves to fill in a variety of tasks including strategy, planning, campaign delivery, media management, brand policing, content creation and reporting.

The Responsibilities
Guide, refine and connect the Eargo brand with current and future customers
Develop brand and communication strategies using consumer research to create narratives that bring Eargo stories to life across the entire customer journey…if it's not unique, it's not Eargo!
Develop creative briefs that inspire our creative team to deliver amazing creative concepts across multiple channels
Measure and track the progress of Eargo's brand awareness (and campaign performance) and develop plans to grow it
Set the roadmap for our brand evolution through competitive brand analysis, product differentiation, and advertising while maintaining our brand attributes and values. In other words, keep us real.
You will create and manage a busy campaign calendar – including content themes for campaigns/blogs/emails, brand campaigns, channel/geographic expansions, promotions, acquisition campaigns, events, and product launches
Ensure all marketing material is on brand both from a look and feel and message continuity
Work with the Creative Director to refine the brand voice
Manage day-to-day relationships with external agency partners and retail partners
Manage the execution of marketing campaigns in partnership with internal creative, sales, online and PR teams
The Qualifications
BA degree in Marketing or related field: MBA is a plus
Must understand the principles of brand marketing
10+ years of experience developing and executing brand strategies, creative, and integrated marketing campaigns for a direct-to-consumer brand or agency
An award-winning storyteller that has a track record of building and propagating strong and emotional consumer brands
Portfolio of broadcast/TV spots, brand films, and interactive experiences articulating a brand's values in action
A dreamer
A Can-Do attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent grasp of the fundamentals of marketing vehicles and how various disciplines and tactics can be used harmoniously to drive a common objective
Comfort working with a variety of mediums including guerrilla, print, digital, radio, video, events, etc.
Extraordinary writing skills, visual storytelling skills, and presentation skills….Van Gogh with a pen!
Experience overseeing advertising channels, agencies, creative and media budgets.
