Job Purpose: Serve on the Sustainment East contract as an Intermediate Application Administrator (UNIX) supporting DISA operations at Data Center Montgomery, Maxwell AFB – Gunter Annex, Montgomery AL, responsible for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and Mission Partner written Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) software running on various different versions of UNIX-based operating systems, to include RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Solaris, in the NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. Performs System Administration functions which require privileged access to DISA information systems and include actions such as installation, implementation, testing, maintenance, Web administration, troubleshooting, repair and application security administration support.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
a. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university with a major in IT, engineering, science or mathematics or;
b. Current RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification or;
c. Current System Administrator or Oracle Solaris System Administrator certification.
