Delta Campus Security Operations IDP Manager ATG *Flight Privilege Offered* (Security)



Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership and oversight of daily ID Processing operations.
  • Oversight of key performance indicators (KPIs) for areas of responsibility, as well as setting and tracking project milestones and timelines.
  • Drive process improvements and set expectations with personnel.
  • Ensure monthly badge reprint volumes are printed, activated, and delivered on time.
  • Develop process maps outlining existing programs and provide recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Define procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Maintain office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent application of employee corrective action.
  • Partner with Corporate Security to maintain office efficiency by planning, designing, and implementing office policies; establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; and making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed in response to emergencies.
  • Conduct investigations of misconduct, complaints, and security violations.
  • Enforce all security policies and procedures.
  • Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with multiple cross functional teams.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Remain knowledgeable of changes in applicable internal processes, industry standards, regulations and policies.
  • Ensure sufficient supply of IDP materials by ordering in advance and tracking usage.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction survey results and related corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of security access controls and badging, security operations center, and fingerprinting systems.
  • Advanced computer skills including in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, as well as access control software and hardware.
  • Must demonstrate professional/ethical behavior in all roles, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, customer focused, able to work on multiple tasks concurrently, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment including people of various backgrounds and all levels of management.  
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to enforce rules and regulations as required by the client.

Pre-requisites: 

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. 
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check. 
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. 
  • Must complete SIDA training if needed to obtain airport authority identification security. 

Experience: 

  • Must be open minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding aviation ID media.
  • Experience managing an enterprise level badging and access control office.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to self-manage from both an operational and financial viewpoint.
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access.

Preferred Qualifications 

Education/Experience: 

  • BA or BS degree or a minimum of 5 (five) years' management experience in security access control, corporate ID media programs, aviation operations, or similar background required
  • Experience managing an enterprise level IDP department.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

Working Conditions 

Work Schedule: 

  • Location: Atlanta, GA
  • Travel: The position requires up to 5% travel with some overnight stays.
  • You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Work Environment:  

  • Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles and use radio equipment.  
  • Employees work inside the Delta Air Line corporate offices.  Utilizes a personal computer.  May sit for long periods. 
  • Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations.  

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be located in a semi-private area.  A majority of the day is spent performing administrative tasks and overseeing site locations.  Occasionally visits assigned sites and may be exposed to outside weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  

Physical Demands/Requirements:  

  • Sense of Sound/Hearing – Must be able to communicate by radio, phone, and other devices.
  • The incumbent is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Oversees daily Operations at site
