The Engineering Manager will collaborate across the Optics businesses to develop and enhance critical technical capabilities that will drive ZYGO Optics business forward. The successful candidate will work closely with their team and business leaders to develop engineering talent, tools, capabilities, and processes, as well as work closely with manufacturing, quality, and program management to deliver high-quality product in a team oriented, customer focused, high-growth and highly technical work environment. We are looking for an accomplished leader with exceptional people skills, has developed teams, can influence, and motivate for maximum performance, and has excellent written/verbal and presentation skills. This is a dual role encompassing both technical leadership and individual contribution. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team consisting of Section Managers, Team Leads, and Mechanical Design Engineers. This team is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and continuous improvement of production tooling for the manufacture, assembly, and qualification of extreme precision optics products.
