Administrative Assistant/Timber (Chilco) (Biotech)



Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant/Timber to join our team.

This position will perform a wide variety of clerical/accounting tasks and perform related work as required.  

Essential Functions: 

    • Assist truck drivers with any issues that arise with scales
    • Relief for main switchboard- cover phone and scales for multiple sites as necessary
    • Prepare, audit, and maintain reports as needed with department-specific computer software
    • Verify accuracy of tickets, sort and file accordingly
    • Operate modern office equipment such as personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, calculators, and scanners
    • File and maintain documents for record retention
    • Upload weight and scale information from scales
    • Set up supporting documents in the computer software for the timber accountant as necessary
    • Assign or issue ticket books when necessary
    • Enter and prepare payables
    • KPI reports
    • Stock the scale shack with tickets, paper and other supplies for drivers and maintain organization
    • Work in a team environment where communication is essential
    • The listed items may not be the only duties performed in this position - there will be other duties as assigned

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Familiarity with accounting principles
    • Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred
    • Thorough knowledge in computer systems including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic scheduling and e-mail, and financial planning software
    • Able to multi-task, follow-through, delegate, and prioritize well to meet deadlines
    • Able to deal professionally, courteously, and tactfully with the public and coworkers
    • Valid Driver's License for business travel
    • Ability to pass a drug, physical, and background check

The depth of screening will vary based on the position.

    Physical Requirements:

    Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement.  Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs.  Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
