Mental Health Professional (Personal Services)



Reports Directly to Executive Director/MHP Supervisor and provides direct behavioral health care.

  1. Delegate and oversee work assignments of Qualified Behavioral Health Providers, of Certified Peer Specialists, Certified Youth Support Specialists, and Certified Family Support Partners
  2. Ensure compliance and conformity to the provider's policies and procedures;
  3. Must communicate individualized client-specific instructions to the QBHP describing the manner and methods for the delivery of paraprofessional services
  4. Monthly staff meetings are not required but encouraged.
  5. Complete all documentation in accordance with PPCD policy and procedure.
  6. Maintain ethical documentation.
  7. Ensure client files are complete and accurate (maintain consents, ROI, etc).
  8. Coordinate care with appropriate treatment team members, when medically necessary.
  9. Provide therapeutic interventions at prescribed treatment recommendations.
  10. Ensures all licenses are active and liability insurance is maintained.

 Education/ Certification: 

Possess independent Behavioral Health licensure in Arkansas as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW).

 

Skills/ Abilities:

  • Experience working with individuals with and array of mental health diagnoses
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Independent and fast learner with computers and software 
  • Exceptional professional, interpersonal, social, organizational, and communication (written and vocal) skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, positive, enthusiastic, flexible, hard-working
  • Must have regular access to a reliable vehicle
  • Background check required
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk/run; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to maintain regular and punctual attendance. The employee is required to complete tasks in a timely manner.
