Purpose:
The Channel Marketing Manager will be responsible for project management and the implementation of strategic initiatives related to MTD brands. In this role, the manager will lead the translation of Brand strategy, marketing plans, insights into customer specific objectives and tactics in order to meet business goals. This position will manage day to day marketing activity for several our retailer customers, primarily Lowe's.
The Channel Marketing manager is a key contributor to the Marketing and Sales teams and is often responsible for being the company brand advocate towards customers, while at the same time being the customer advocate back into Corporate/Marketing. This position will bring thought leadership and will work closely with Brand, Insights, Agencies, Digital, Sales, Product Management, Customers etc.
Essential Duties:
•Gain a firm understanding of Brand Strategy and translate into well-developed channel/customer strategies/tactics.
•Develop a deep knowledge of customer strategy/nuances with the ability to influence internal stakeholders.
•Responsible for directing the developing of on-product/in-store signage and packaging.
•Monitors trends in shopper marketing and experiential marketing to identify growth opportunities.
•Collaborate with customer buying teams and/or marketing teams to develop and execute customer specific plans.
•Support the sales team with materials, programs and reporting to enhance product sell-in (line review).
•Manage channel-related projects, which may include the following: print/collateral, videos/demos, events, presentations, etc.
•Collaborate with Sales to develop and execute strategy/logistics for customer meetings/shows.
•Manage relationship with outside agencies and vendors to ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and budgetary requirements.

Experience/Educational Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred
•2-5 years of work experience
•Customer/Channel Marketing, or Retail Merchandising experience preferred
•Must have understanding of marketing plans and overall marketing strategy
