The PGIM Strategy team supports the CEO of PGIM and the whole leadership team in developing and executing strategy around the business' most critical priorities. The Strategy team works on a wide variety of projects including competitor analysis, market evaluation and entry, and mergers and acquisitions. The Strategy Analyst role is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious and talented candidate to work in a collegial and high performing team, and build experience working in the asset management industry directly supporting senior business leaders.
What Will My Role at PGIM Look Like?
As an Analyst, you will be part of a small strategy team overseen by the Chief Strategy Officer. You will be given high levels of responsibility across multiple projects, and asked to tackle complex business challenges from day one.
You may be asked to evaluate the size and growth potential of a market like the alternatives universe, and develop potential strategies for entering the market. You may also be asked to analyze how our top competitors are responding to market dynamics, or to help evaluate and diligence potential acquisition targets. These projects will provide you with exposure to PGIM and the asset management industry, and you will develop a broad business strategy toolkit. In addition to conducting research and analysis, you will be responsible for presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management. You will also have the opportunity to be mentored by PGIM's senior business leaders and be coached and trained by asset management and strategy experts.
Responsibilities:
Develop problem statements and structure problem solving approaches to PGIM's most critical challenges
Conduct analyses on markets, competitors, and other business items
Establish the fact-base to aid in answering the PGIM senior management's most pressing questions
Present your findings and recommendations to senior PGIM leaders
Requirements:
BA Required with strong academic background
0-2 years of experience, preferably in internal strategy, management consulting, or banking
Knowledge of financial services, ideally asset management
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Passion for problem solving
Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Executive presence and the composure to interact with senior leaders
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
Interest in business strategy/development and asset management
