Digital and Social Marketing Specialist (Information Technology)

The Digital and Social Marketing Specialist must be an inspired, creative, critical and strategic thinker and doer who is technical in skills and relational in nature. This person will write content, map our online content, help build our website content and support and execute across our marketing tech stack. This person must understand and be able to pivot content across a variety of audiences that connects them to our brand and builds engagement, participation and conversation.
This role supports all of NHA's online and digital strategy for the website, SEO, social channels, use of and deployment of campaigns through Marketing Automation tool from content to ROI, and reports to the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing and Data.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Create, manage and grow business presence and engagement across social media channels, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• In coordination with Content and Communications Marketing Manager, write and develop digital content and work with outsourced copywriters when needed.
• Create reports and presentations on digital content, social media and Google Analytics performance for marketing team read-outs and to support VP report creation.
• Maximize social network interaction on a daily basis to build and keep communities engaged - respond to posts regularly, while maintaining the voice of the brand.
• Use tools and experience to manage on-site optimization of page titles, page descriptions, URLs, redirects, internal link structures, sitemaps, and more.
• Help manage keywords and search engine optimization (SEO), track statistics and stay knowledgeable about industry developments and trends.
• Use social analytics and other metrics to set thresholds, monitor, capture and share interactivity and reporting data to inform social strategy and campaign stats on a weekly basis.
• Manage and execute against website updates, content refreshes and redesigns to support evolution of brand and messaging strategies, campaigns and outreach.
• Maintain ongoing upkeep of website content and store changes with light HTML programming, as needed.
• Evaluate and report on social tactics and ROI efforts and work with data analytics team and agency partners to create dashboard of metrics in conjunction with marketing managers.
• Participate in brainstorms and creative strategy sessions across marketing initiatives to help bring a holistic approach to our marketing in support of the team's strategy.
• Lead marketing peers and team in staying up to date in social trends and best practices within and outside our industry, that can be applied at NHA.
• Communicate about and train other NHA employees on social best practices and ideas to grow relationships and business
• Manage social tactics for tradeshows regarding how to implement and how we can integrate our digital strategy at the shows in conjunction with the event manager.
• Collaborate with creative agency and in-house graphic designer for design needs in social, digital/online and events for social, lifecycle and paid advertising campaigns.
• Propose and execute new ways of creating and distributing digital/social content that expands our company's reach and cause.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of NHA's customer base and user personas across their journey and lifecycle, and how to market products and engage with content online through advertising and owned media, new and traditional offerings.
• Help create and support the strategy and lead the implementation of marketing automation and how it connects to our social strategy and goals.
• Support and execute product updates within the NHA store online platform in partnership with Product Marketing Managers and third-party vendor as well as IT staff.
• Coordinate with legal counsel as needed on all social and digital needs.
• Collaborate with marketing team members to create and schedule shareable social media content.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from channel-specific marketing campaigns for performance analysis.
• Execute content A/B tests and analyze test results to optimize digital content.
• Use social listening tools to monitor brand, competitive and category conversation and insights.
• Identify customer insights and feed to marketing team and other BU functional groups as appropriate.
Education and Experience:
• 3-5 years digital/social marketing experience in a B2B/B2C corporation, or agency setting preferred. Healthcare and/or education industry experience a plus.
• Degree in Strategic Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Marketing or related program with a passion for technology and staying current in digital and social trends.
• Published written online/blog article content, guest article writing experience (personal, school or business), and/or social media copy a plus.
• Experience and familiarity with using marketing automation, CMS and social or SEO tools and software preferred
• Experience performing analysis or creating reports leveraging marketing or business metrics data preferred
Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail (including proofreading)
• Critical thinker who understands our brand, products, industry, and B2B and B2C audiences, and how-to best leverage engaging content across digital and social platforms.
• Strong project management skills and adept with working on simultaneous projects at different stages.
• Experience proposing and executing effective social and digital content and strategies to achieve business metrics.
• Self-starter attitude with strong time-management skills, curious about understanding and solving problems with a data-driven mindset
• Experience creating and editing videos for multi-channel use.
• Savvy technology user with a solid understanding of major social media platforms, web content management systems (CMS), email and marketing automation practices
• Ability to use HubSpot or similar marketing automation tool certification or proven experience a must
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work in a matrix managed group
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with ability to create executive level presentations
• Familiarity and/or knowledge of working with existing HTML/CSS files preferred
• Comfortable working with MAC or Windows OS
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where she/he must be able to work with a high level of accuracy.
