Budget Analyst (Finance)
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning and Finance, the Budget Analyst prepares, manages and monitors sources and uses across all funds, serves as general analytical support developing a wide variety of advanced ad hoc reports including variance analyses, proforma, workflow, scenarios, trend, and other reporting used by the Director to enhance decision-making. Serves as one of two primary financial analyst that monitors departmental sources and uses advising departmental staff on past, present, and future state financial position, policies and procedures, and strategic resource allocation opportunities. The Budget Analyst performs recurring day-to-day administrative activities in conjunction with providing quality customer service to all stakeholders within the College of Arts & Sciences and across the University.Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or a field directly related to the positions responsibilities and three years of professional business experience; or a Master's degree in the same fields and one year experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 3 years budget, accounting, analysis, forecasting, and reporting
Educational: Degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting or a related field
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.Working at USF
