Collections Supervisor (Administrative)

What You'll Do: Supervise and lead an assigned team of Collections Representatives and Collections Support Specialists. Assist the Collections Manager and/or VP - Credit Risk Management with the management and overall operations of the Collections Department. This includes serving as leader, coach and direct supervisor of Collections Representatives and Collections Support Specialists. Work collaboratively on overall process, procedures, systems, and compliance. This individual should provide solution-oriented service to internal and external customers for the benefit of Royal Credit Union and its Members. This role also provides insight, forecasting, and analysis of trends and causes to Team Members and supervisors through strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our Commitment To You:

  • Compensation: $73,500 - $84,500 annually. (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What's Needed For This Position:

  • Associate's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or comparable/equivalent collection work experience
  • Two (2) years of Consumer and real estate debt collection, default loss mitigation, collateral repossession or foreclosure of real estate or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) years of Leadership experience
  • Readily learns new technologies and uses Royal's digital solutions on technology devices (e.g., tablets, smart phones, PCs, laptops)
  • Moderate understanding of all Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of various investor/insurer guidelines and procedures
  • Knowledge of default mortgage servicing and practices
  • Knowledge of all applicable state and federal collection laws
  • Certified CU Financial Counselor (CCUFC) within 1-1/2 years of employment and must be bondable

We'd Love To See:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or comparable/equivalent collection work experience
  • Previous Royal Credit Union experience

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time exempt level position typically working Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM.  Department hours are 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday and 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Saturdays.  Occasional weekend and evening hours are required.

Training:

  • Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
    • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal's culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
