Senior Buyer (Administrative)
SUMMARY
The central role of the Senior Buyer is to work with planning, marketing, design,E-commerce and store teams to build assortments and merchandising strategies for the omni channel business. Create the best overall customer experience in the stores by monitoring assortments to maintain a consistent brand image while delivering and exceeding sales and margin plans. Lead the broader merchandising team; one step short of a DMM position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand target consumer, shop retail stores and sites, and provide competitive analysis to enhance brand strategies and opportunities
Lead the broader omni merchandising team. Train and develop assistant and associate buyer; mentor new hire buyers.
Attend preline and market appointments with pre-planned strategies to achieve financial plans
Support stores staff and E-commerce with all product information and strategies
Provide visual tools (product knowledge and merchandising directives) for stores, omni planning/allocation teams and E-commerce to ensure one brand, one vision at point of sale
Analyze retail sales to identify opportunities for improving inventory turns
Develop & recommend pricing and tiering strategies with appropriate markdown cadences
Develop and execute product assortments by delivery date
Coordinate “buy” meetings and set up calendar dates to ensure buys are placed on time
Responsible for working with planning on the flow of the inventory
Develop Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting for key metrics to manage the business in order to meet turns, margin and revenue goals
