Assistant Brand Manager, Private Label (Agriculture)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in development and execution of private label marketing plan. Work directly with other marketing team members, creative department, and cross-functional teams as needed to develop and execute programs. Develop strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with product and package development, purchasing, operations, finance, sales and brand marketing teams Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deploy key initiatives related to new items, new customers and label updates. Help build out product roadmaps for multiple brands, identifies high-potential opportunity spaces. Work directly with Sales team and individual retailers to respond quickly and accurately to requests. Assist with pricing and profitability by customer and product line. Evaluate initiatives, identifying key lessons learned and insights for application with future activities. Work with Sales teams and retailers to provide forecasts to Sales Planning team. Strive to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical. Work safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies, and participates in scheduled training. Report injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Takes responsibility for safety within department and actively assesses hazards in their department and finds solutions to those hazards.

EEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in marketing, communications, sales, advertising, business administration, or related field; and 2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as highly detailed professional, scientific, and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from both inside and outside the company. Ability to write speeches, articles, or memo using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to such groups as top management, boards of directors, or the general public.
QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
Ability to comprehend financial principles. Ability to use a computer to create highly customized spreadsheets, charts and reports, presentations, and interpret data. Ability to analyze sales and cost data, profit and loss statements, and other quantitative data, and apply information to develop insights and make sound business recommendations to drive growth and profitability.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, analytical, and creative skills. Detail and results oriented. Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrated potential for leadership. Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and other basic business application.
