Driver Recruiter (Human Resources)



  • Lead the efforts in attracting candidates through marketing research and ideas and by maintaining and expanding social media presence for KTC companies to attract driver candidates.

  • Responsible for creating and posting advertisements on niche sites, screening, telephone interviewing and qualifying applicants for driver positions.

  • Review and analyze applications to meet our minimum requirements and current needs.

  • Conduct initial interviews reducing candidates to those qualified and who fit our needs at the present time.

  • Recognize driver applicants/opportunities and forward leads to Driver Manager.

  • Communicate with potential candidates and applicants regarding the status of their application.

  • Plan and attend job fairs that would best suit industry requirements

  • Scour job search websites for potential recruits and contact those candidates personally.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to candidate data.

  • Conduct 30-day evaluations with department managers ensuring expectations for both employee and management are met.

  • Two (2) + years of recruiting experience

  • Basic knowledge of applicable FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations

  • Basic knowledge of transportation equipment/terminology; Dump trailers, Flatbed, Molten, custom, etc.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments

  • Organize and schedule work day independently

  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, service-driven environment

  • Good interpersonal skills and service attitude

  • Outlook, Microsoft Suite and ability to learn TMW & ELD provider systems

  • Knowledge of Tenstreet Platform

  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to companies drug free workplace policies

  • Safety sensitive position
