The Network team is part of National Instruments' IT Service Operations Team under Infrastructure and Operations and is responsible for the continuous engineering and maintenance of the global wired, wireless, LAN, WAN, and Server infrastructures, as well as physical and virtual datacenters. Our team is not only focused on maintaining highly reliable and performance-driven systems, but takes pride in its deployment of leading edge solutions that align with the company's core strategic vision and IT initiatives. National Instruments is seeking a senior level enterprise network engineer to join our Austin, TX team as a key contributor to our exciting and innovative LAN and WAN projects locally and abroad. As one of the primary engineers supporting NI's global data network, you will be involved in the planning, design, installation, and ongoing improvements of a wide breadth of technologies, both on-prem and in the cloud. NI is looking for someone who can not only hit the ground running with the current systems, but can also contribute to IT's bigger goals and vision for complete IT solutions that involve cross functional teams and automation of repetitive tasks.
Experience and expertise with multi-vendor routing and switching are foundational, while wireless, vpn, cloud networking, and scripting experience are a competitive advantage.
