Environmental Scientist & Compliance Specialist, Norfolk VA, RS (Finance)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Environmental Scientist & Compliance Specialist will provide environmental support and task/project management of various environmental assessment/remediation projects in the southeastern United States. Work includes due diligence work and various environmental projects including soil, soil vapor, groundwater investigations, installation and maintenance of remediation systems, field sampling and field supervision of remediation projects. Additionally, this position may also include the management and oversight of local staff Health and Safety training.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The following certifications are preferred:
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work on and prioritize a variety of technical assignments and complete work satisfactorily and on schedule.
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as scientific reports, engineering drawings, operation and maintenance instructions, and user manuals. Ability to write clear and concise sections of technical reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles and apply those concepts to design development.
