Cardiovascular Tech - University Hospital (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Tech to:
· Practice in a technologically advanced and dynamic interventional procedural area.
· Be an integral member of our talented multidisciplinary team.
· Assist with scrubbing, circulating and monitoring invasive cardiovascular procedures.
· Care for critically ill patients having heart attacks and help save lives.
Education:
Minimum – Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Speciaslit (CVIS) Technologist training program. Two (2) years of experience as an Imaging Technologist may be considered in lieu of training program completion.
Work Experience:
Preferred – Two (2) years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – If an Imaging Technologist, then registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support/CPR certification. ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
Preferred - RCIS, RCIT, or HRS CEPS Certification of Special Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology for Associated Professionals.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 6:30 am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday with on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
