Communication & Marketing Specialist (Media)
While the individual in this time-limited (anticipated through June 30, 2021) position will be part of the Alliance Communications unit under the supervision of the Director of Communications, they will devote the majority of their time to working closely and collaboratively with the program manager and staff of Alliance's Hope4NC initiative, a FEMA-funded program that operates a 24/7 helpline for individuals experiencing COVID-19 related stress and concern. The primary goal of this position is to enhance awareness of the helpline and resources available through the helpline, with a particular focus on outreach to target populations disproportionately affected by the pandemic employing a variety of activities including but not limited to the creation of internal and external corporate communications and marketing/informational materials, website content maintenance, and provision of communications technical support. Responsibilities and Duties
Graduation from a four-year college or university preferably with a major in journalism or English and two years' experience in communications, public relations, or publicity work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
