Hoist Operator - 2nd Shift (Finance)
Lakeside Book Company is looking for a safety minded Hoist Operator to join our Plainfield team. As a Hoist Operator, you'll be responsible for maneuvering hoists to lift, lower, and transport materials safely across the warehouse. You'll work closely with a dedicated team, ensuring that products are moved to their proper locations and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities
- Operate hoists and other lifting equipment to safely move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of hoists and equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and material handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a hoist operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Comfortable with heights of 20+ feet.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout your shift.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well within a team and also independently when required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Shift, Pay, & Location
Pay: $18.75/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential
Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with overtime as needed
