Senior Histology Technician, Surgical Pathology - University Hospital (8526) (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Surgical Pathology Senior Histology Technician to:
Education:
Minimum - Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology OR Education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include:
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
Work Experience:
Minimum - Two years histology or relevant laboratory experience.
Preferred - Three years histology or relevant laboratory experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred - Histotechnician / Histotechnologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
