Technical Director/Drinking Water Design Multiple Locations (Finance)
Arcadis is seeking a Technical Director for Drinking Water Design to join our North American Water Business Line. The Technical Director will collaborate with national and regional leaders across the Business Line to develop and implement winning strategies to support business development and enhance delivery capabilities for municipal drinking water treatment facilities projects and programs.

Job Responsibilities
The position requires significant experience in drinking water treatment design with demonstrated success as a seller-doer and the ability to accomplish the following:
Support the development and implementation of regional strategies for business development, project delivery and quality.
Contribute to innovative approaches and value propositions to accelerate growth and enhance our position in the market.
Maintain industry visibility via key roles in professional organizations and conferences.
Mentor staff and collaborate with regional leaders in recruiting, hiring and retention.
Provide technical guidance and quality reviews to support the work of others.
Work directly with clients and client teams to develop work scopes and budgets.
Lead the pursuit capture and planning for significant opportunities.
Lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and interviews.
Key Attributes
Extensive experience in the implementation of processes / technologies for conventional and advanced drinking water treatment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to effectively deliver client presentations, prepare written reports and communicate technical concepts.
Proven experience in client management, including; building relationships, establishing opportunity pipelines, managing pursuits, developing proposals and interviews, preparing and negotiating scopes.
Direct project management is not a requirement of this role. However, project management experience, with success delivering to expectations on time and on budget, is necessary.
Self-motivated and flexible with the ability and desire to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven interpersonal and relationship skills with demonstrated success recruiting, mentoring and motivating junior staff in technical and business development career tracks.
Travel is required up to 30%.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
Professional Engineer in NY, PA, OH or IN
20 years of municipal water utility environmental consulting and engineering experience for drinking water treatment facilities including planning, design and construction administration.
Active participation, such as committee membership, in regional and national AWWA.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
