Job Description:

Epiq is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team of industry-recognized subject matter experts in Records Management and Information Governance.  The Records & Information Governance (RIG) Consultant designs, implements, and enhances RIG programs for clients across all industry verticals and at all maturity levels.  Reporting to Epiq's Senior Director of Records & Information Governance (RIG) Solutions, the Consultant is responsible for building both internal and external relationships, developing strategy, identifying, and performing consultative services, and supporting Epiq RIG outsourced operations evolve as business needs and technology changes. 

This position requires strong technology skills in core RIG operations such as Records and Document management systems (e.g., iManage, FileTrail, OpenText) with experience developing and leading initiatives to transition to “less” paper environments, develop and implement RIG policy and retention schedules, and operationalize policy to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk.  Additionally, this position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in policy/procedure creation, and staff training. The position will track and bill time for consulting and advisory services, and 20-30% travel is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Key areas of focus include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and deliver compelling RIG consulting services to Epiq customers such as RIG program assessments, technology selection and migration support, data clean up services, policy and procedure development, policy implementation advice, etc.
  • Create thought leadership content in support of marketing efforts, including speaking at events, demonstrating understanding of key industry trends
  • Contribute to proposal and other content as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Support pre-sales and sales opportunities as a RIG SME
  • Support solution development and best practices definition related to Epiq RIG solution offerings across all vertical markets
  • Prepare and present client proposals and reports, including forecasting trends and identifying opportunities for program improvement
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, prospects, and Epiq managers and employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 or more years of Records & Information Governance experience required with at least some of those years working as a practitioner
  • Large, multiple office law firm(s) experience is a plus
  • RIG experience must include developing, planning, and implementing RIG Programs
  • Ability to perform assessments of RIG programs and provide benchmarking and program improvement recommendations, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
  • Strong technical skills required including working knowledge of leading records and document management software programs (e.g., iManage, OpenText), imaging software/hardware (e.g., Accuroute), reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI), and data clean up tools (e.g., ActiveNav, Nuix, Gimmal).
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interview, develop and mentor all levels of RIG staff.
  • Demonstrated methods for staying up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) and/or Information Governance Professional (IGP) strongly preferred.

LOCATION: This a remote position with ideal candidates residing in the following markets.

New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, or San Francisco.

The Compensation range for this role is 118,000 to 174,000 USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
